- Instrument Description
Observe various interference phenomena: equal-inclination interference, equal-thickness interference, and white-light interference; measure the wavelength of monochromatic light, the thickness of transparent thin sections, the thickness of coatings, and the refractive index of air; use the Fabry–Pérot interferometer to observe sharp rings in multi-beam interference, measure the wavelength difference between adjacent spectral lines, and observe the fine structure of spectral lines.
- Experimental Content
1. Observe various interference phenomena: isoclinic interference, isothickness interference, and white-light interference (requires optional accessory: sodium/tungsten dual-purpose lamp)
2. Determine the wavelength of monochromatic light, the thickness of transparent dielectric thin films, the thickness of coatings, and the refractive index of air (requires optional accessories: gas cell, manometer, and gauge)
3. Fabry–Pérot interferometer: Observe sharp interference fringes from multiple beams, measure the wavelength difference between adjacent spectral lines, and observe the fine structure of spectral lines
