- Instrument Description
Features a platform-style design that facilitates the insertion of the substance under study into the optical path. Suitable for teaching physical optics laboratory courses in higher education institutions, it can be used to observe isochromatic interference, isothick interference, and white-light interference; to measure the wavelength of monochromatic light; to determine the wavelength difference between the yellow and orange lines of sodium; and to measure the refractive indices of transparent thin films and air.
- Experimental Content
1. Equi-inclination interference, equi-thickness interference, and white light interference (requires optional accessory: sodium-tungsten dual-purpose lamp); determination of the wavelength of monochromatic light
2. Wavelength difference between sodium and yellow lines
3. Refractive indices of transparent medium thin films and air (requires optional accessories: gas cell, manometer, and gauge) etc.
